DAVID BOOTH

Founder of Events International, Inc.

David Booth, Events International's founder, brings a wealth of business and life experience to the company. He has worked in many facets of Hawaii's marketing, promotions and event industry and couples that with experience gained well beyond the Island's shores.

Events International was formed in 1987, producing block parties, festivals and concerts, including the popular "Jawaiian Jam" series, which eventually morphed into the KCCN FM 100 Birthday Bash at the Waikiki Shell, which is still Hawaii's largest two-day Hawaii music festival.

Over the years, Events International has diversified to provide event production services to the Meetings, Convention and Incentive market, as well as community & fundraising events, corporate functions, trade shows and exhibitions. Events International presently provides service to the NFL Pro Bowl, The Taste of Honolulu, Turtle Bay Resort, The Aloha Tower Marketplace and many more.

David personal passions of travel, food & wine and jazz/blues guitar playing are reflected in many of the projects he has been developing such as Turtle Bay Resorts 'Guitars Under The Stars (that have featured jazz greats Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Spyro Gyra, Russ Freeman & The Rippingtons, Chuck Mangione and more).

Events International lives up to its name by producing events in Hawaii, the West Coast and throughout the Pacific Rim. This experience has led to the development of a series of Hawaii promotional events in Taiwan and most recently "The Hawaii Experience at Shanghai Xintiandi" in conjunction with the Hawaii State Department of Business and Economic Development. This ambitious event included 8 days of entertainment featuring Hawaii's top entertainers, a Hawaii Marketplace and a variety of functions and activities for Hawaii business interested in doing business in China.

Booth also creates and markets travel products such as the popular California Wine Country Experience, special packages with Crystal Cruises and other cruise lines, and Thailand travel packages. David is currently consulting for a new radio station in Thailand and has other projects in the works.

Events International continues to expand and diversify to reach more people in more parts of the world with innovative events, exciting entertainment, and profitable marketing strategies.

RICK SCHNEIDER

C.E.O., Events International, Inc.

Rick Schneider possesses over 30 years of experience in promotions, media production, marketing, advertising, creative writing, and business management. He has lived and worked in Hawaii since 1987.

Completing studies at Hunter College in theater and film, he worked free-lance in the film industry in New York as a writer, producer and director. In 1978 Rick founded his own production company, Fine Tuning Inc., which he ran successfully until his relocation to Hawaii.

His writing and production credits include MTV video pieces for some of the world’s top music acts including The Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, and Kool and the Gang. Also to his credit are numerous documentaries, industrial films and TV commercials including two years of ”It’s a matter of life and breath” TV spots for the American Lung Association. In 1979 he formed Ratso Records, a specialty music record label and supervised all aspects of production and marketing including music production, packaging, sales and promotion. Rick is listed in Marqueses Who’s Who in Entertainment and Who’s Who in Advertising.

Rick relocated to Hawaii in 1987. He established himself as a free-lance writer and public relations and marketing consultant, producing brochures, advertising, promotional pieces and newsletters for a number of respected local clients.

In 1989 he formed Schneider & Associates as a public relations, marketing and advertising firm. In 1990 he won a Pele award (the Hawaii advertising awards) for a print ad he wrote and produced for the ACLU. In 1994 he conceived and produced From Grass to Glass, a landmark 12,000 square foot museum quality exhibit on architecture in Hawaii for client Gentry Pacific. This exhibit received international acclaim.

Rick founded Wa Nui Records Inc. in 1994, which produces and markets music CDs and tapes. Rick oversees all aspects of production and promotion including product development, production, packaging, promotion, sales and marketing. His most noted local release is the Song’s of Liliuaokalani by the Galliard String Quartet. Wa Nui also ventured into concert and event promotion under a subsidiary, Wa Nui P resents.

In 1997 Rick began working with David Booth and Events International. The following year they formally joined forces, with Rick merging Schneider & Associates with Events International and assuming a full partnership roll in Events International. Together, David and Rick have steadily grown the company.

In his time in Hawaii, Rick has involved himself as a member of the community, working with the legislature and with various community and charity organizations. He is committed to keeping the aloha spirit alive and making Hawaii a better place to live.
